Social Media & Community Growth Lead

RemoteRev-SharePart-Time OK

We need someone to turn Frame Story and Cluck into a name people recognize before we ever launch on Steam. Horror is the most streamer-driven genre in gaming — our #1 discovery channel is content creators, and our #1 metric is weekly wishlist velocity. You'll own the entire organic growth engine from social content to community to influencer outreach.

This is a pre-launch role. The game doesn't have a Steam page yet. You're not maintaining a community — you're building one from zero. If that sounds like a problem, this isn't the role. If it sounds like an opportunity, keep reading.

What you'll do

  • Own our social media presence across TikTok, Twitter/X, and YouTube. Create and post 3–4 times per week using dev footage, behind-the-scenes content, and horror gaming culture. Follow the 80/20 rule: 80% valuable or engaging content, 20% direct promotion.
  • Build and manage our Discord community from the ground up. Make it a place people actually want to hang out, not just an announcement feed.
  • Run influencer and streamer outreach. Identify and build relationships with horror gaming creators — smaller niche creators yield better ROI than mega-influencers. Send personalized pitches, manage key distribution, and coordinate coverage around milestones.
  • Drive Steam wishlist growth. You’ll track velocity weekly and adjust strategy based on what’s working.
  • Plan and execute our Steam Next Fest strategy. Your job is to make sure we enter strong and maximize the window.
  • Coordinate with the team on trailer drops, demo launches, and milestone announcements. Time content for maximum impact. Horror audiences are most active in the evenings and on weekends — you know this because you’re one of them.

Who you are

  • You’ve grown a gaming or entertainment-related social account before — your own, a brand’s, a creator’s. You have receipts.
  • You understand TikTok’s algorithm, Twitter/X engagement patterns, and YouTube discoverability. You know what performs and why.
  • You’re a genuine horror gaming fan. You follow the genre, watch horror streamers, and have opinions about what makes a good horror trailer.
  • You can write copy that sounds like a human, not a press release. You know tone matters and that authenticity outperforms polish on social.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity. We’re a small team building something new. Playbooks don’t exist yet — you’ll write them.
  • You understand that this is a rev-share role, not a salaried position. You’re here because you believe in the project and want a real stake in the outcome.
